The St. Cloud HRA is the primary Economic Development Agency in and for the City of St. Cloud. HRA economic development staff work closely with other orgainizations in the greater St. Cloud Area to promote economic vitality and diversity, while promoting stabilization of the local economy as well as job growth.

The St. Cloud Area experienced a average cost of living for the third quarter of 2008, according to the Cost of Living Index of 315 urban areas compiled and published quarterly by C2ER (The Council for Community and Economic Research). To see a list of area major employers, follow this link.

Science Initiative of Central Minnesota (SICM) 
The Science Initiative of Central Minnesota is a community effort to organize local leadership and resources to assist science-based companies that seek to locate or expand in Central Minnesota. In addition, this initiative is fostering partnerships with local higher education institutions to develop programs and an education plan that will support a strong science-based workforce.
The St. Cloud HRA provides funding to the St. Cloud Downtown Council for programs and is a dues-paying member.
HRA Economic Development Staff work closely with City Administration, Public Works and Community Development on a variety of economic development projects.

The St. Cloud HRA has industrial and commercial property for sale. We own two industrial parks, the Airport Business Park and I-94 Business Park. Links to these parks are found on the menu bar on the left.
Additionally, the HRA offers public assistance to qualified applicants for certain types of economic development and redevelopment.
