St. Cloud has received notice that HUD has allocated $128,350 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act or CDBG-R) to the St. Cloud Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. It is proposed to use these funds to finance Roosevelt Boys and Girls Club site Improvements (bus chute and parking lot) improvements. This is being posted to provide for opportunity for citizen participation. There will be a seven day citizen participation comment period to hear comments regarding the proposed substantial amendment to the St. Cloud CDBG annual plan for 2008. City Council consideration of the amended Plan is scheduled for their regular scheduled City Council meeting on May 18, 2009. The amended 2008 plan is required to be submitted to HUD by no later than June 5, 2009

All citizens may have access to CDBG-R information and records by contacting the
St. Cloud HRA. Any visually or hearing impaired, or non-English speaking persons who wish to participate review this information, or wish to have translated/assisted copies of the proposed Recovery Act of 2009 CDBG substantial amendment Annual Plan of 2008 may contact the CDBG Administrator at 1225 West St. German, St. Cloud, MN. 56301/ 252-0880.
To further ensure that all citizens have equal access to information about the CDBG-R program and to insure that non English speaking persons and persons with disabilities have access to copies of the substantial amendment. Copies of the St. Cloud CDBG CDBG-R 2008 substantial amendment is also available for review at the St. Cloud City Hall, Mayors Office at 400 South 2nd Street, St. Cloud, Minnesota and the St. Cloud Regional Library at 1300 West St. Germain Street, St. Cloud MN 56301.
