Affordable Rentals

The St. Cloud HRA offers 8 buildings that are tax credit projects or affordable rents for low to moderate income individuals or families. The rents are a set rate, but there are income limits you must meet. There is only one building that will take single tenants. Another of the buildings is for Seniors only (55 and older). The BrownstonesThe Brownstones
During the year 2000 two family housing complexes, The Creeks (24 units) and The Brownstones (12 units), were designed, constructed, and rented under Section 42 of the IRS Housing Tax Credit Regulations. Both projects were nominated and were selected for the 2001 National Award of Merit from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials.

Westwood Village OneWestwood Village One
Westwood Village One Apartments are two and three bedroom apartments in a 32 apartment two story building in north St. Cloud off County Road 134, across from the West Industrial Park. Westwood Village is easily accessible from all major roads and highways in the St. Cloud Metropolitan area. It is located within walking distance from many of the area’s largest employers and is close to schools and shopping.


Westwood Village Two
Westwood Village Apartments Two is St. Cloud HRA’s newest low-to- moderate income apartment building. Construction was completed during February 2005. The building is located next to Westwood Village Apartments (Phase One) on Savanna Avenue in Westwood Village.


Swisshelm Village OneSwisshelm Village One
Swisshelm Village Apartments One and Two are two of the latest projects of affordable housing created by the St. Cloud Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Swisshelm is closely patterned after the hugely successful Westwood Village Apartments located in west St. Cloud.


Swisshelm Village TowSwisshelm Village Two
Swisshelm Village Apartments Two is located at 304 Laudenbach Court, off of Hwy 75 near the Hwy 94 Interchange (McStop). It’s the second of three buildings on what was previously farmland along the banks of the Mississippi. These two and three bedroom apartments are now available for rent to low and moderate-income families. There are handicapped–accessible units available, as well.


Eastwood
It is an 18-unit affordable building. This building was purchased October 31, 2002. The apartment rents are set at the same amount as the fair market rents for the area. A rehabilitation of the apartment building was completed in 2003. The rehabilitation work consisted of new siding, parking lot, roof, fire alarm system, appliances, carpet, and painting.
Riverside Apartments

All Newly Renovated 2006-Amenities include: Reasonable Rents -as low as $529 per month, Elevator, Ramp Entrance, Air Conditioning Included, Heat and Electric Included, Garages Available, Well lit with a Security System, Fully Equiped Community Room, Large Kitchen Available for Family Occasions, Section 8 Accepted. Daily support services are available through Local Human Services Agencies.
